FAQ

Frequently asked questions and our hopefully helpful answers
Can I watch new movies at Metro?

Definitely. That’s what we’re all about.

What if the movie I want to watch isn’t on the website, can you get it for me?

Usually yes. If you give us two weeks notice, we can generally book any film that is theatrically available, and that is a BIG list. There is an additional charge from the studio for custom bookings, generally about $150-$250, which we pass along without markup.

Can anyone watch a movie at Metro?

Yes! The “Private” in Metro Private Cinema means you get to eat dinner and watch a movie in a private screening room with your friends. No memberships required.

There are a lot of drinks in the signature and prestige drink packages, do we get all of that?

All of the drinks will be in the suite. The idea is that different guests in your party may want different things. Some may want a cocktail or a mocktail, others beer, others wine, or a mix of all of the above. You are welcome to sample every item in the drink package but we will of course only responsibly serve each guest.

What if I only want soda, water and juices? How is that charged?

All custom drinks are charged a la carte, whether it be sodas and juices or bottles of wine. Menu pricing for sodas and juices is on our bar menu.

Do you have a kids menu? And if so, what is the cost?

Kids are welcome to try anything on the menu, but if it isn’t to their liking, Chef Joshua can make a mean sliced steak and plain noodles with butter. We will make sure that kids leave happy and full. For the current menus, a 50% credit per each child under 12 in your group will be applied to your final bill. In the very near future we will also be offering additional kids menu packages for birthday parties and other kids events.

Is it possible to eat our meal during the movie?

Currently, the core experience of Metro is to eat before the movie. When we open up matinee screenings, we will offer the opportunity to watch the movie and have the meal after the movie. Down the road we may offer occasional experiences for dining during the movie, but those will be limited exceptions.

Do you have to eat a meal when you book a room at Metro Private Cinema?

For our first month of operation, we are only open for dinnertime reservations, and for all bookings in the dinner hours, choosing one of our meal options is required.

If I book the 8 person room and only two people show up, do I have to pay for all 8 seats?

Yes, the rooms have a fixed fee based on the number of seats. An eight person room is 8 x $50 per seat, or $400.

Is there a food and beverage minimum?

Our dinner reservations have a food and beverage minimum of $35/seat, assuming full occupancy. For example, the minimum for an 8-seat room is 8 x $35, or $280.

If I book a four person room and a fifth person shows up, will you be able to accommodate?

There are no guarantees, but we will try our best to accommodate extra guests. We have a limited number of additional seats. Check with a manager as early as possible and we will try.
