Provincetown Clambake

Celebrate the life and travels of Anthony Bourdain with a Provincetown-inspired clambake featuring fresh New England seafood, seasonal summer flavors, and a classic coastal dessert. Designed to be shared among loved ones, this menu is as much about gathering around the table as it is about the food itself. Please note: Advance booking is required. This special menu cannot be prepared with substitutions for seafood or shellfish allergies.
"I was — to be frank — a spoiled, miserable, narcissistic, self-destructive and thoughtless young lout, and badly in need of a good ass-kicking."

A 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life. Directed by one of our favorite directors working today, Matt Johnson (Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie) and starring rising star Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers) as the young Bourdain.

The beginning of Bourdain's 2000 best-selling memoir Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly served as the underpinning to Johnson developing the script.

"Those two chapters of Kitchen Confidential read like 'Genesis' to me," he says. "So little happens, but the margins are packed. It meant the cast and I could investigate this man's origin together, knowing only where he would end up 20 years later," says Matt Johnson.

To celebrate the release of TONY, Metro Cinema will offer guests the chance to experience a recreation of the legendary annual Provincetown John J. Gaspie Clambake: a heaping family-style feast of fresh clams, seafood, sausage, sweet corn, and potatoes, served the traditional way with plenty of ice-cold Narragansett to wash it all down.
