I love afternoon tea. Whenever my wife and I travel to the British Isles, or anywhere else that shares the tradition, we make a point of seeking out the best tea service we can find. Suffice it to say, we’ve had a lot of excellent tea! We’ve even sampled the offerings at the Mandarin Oriental, the Plaza, and the Russian Tea Room in New York City. So it’s with great pride that I can say Josh and the team at Metro have created one of the best afternoon tea services I’ve had anywhere.

From delicate finger sandwiches to buttery scones to delightful macarons and tarts to a selection of delicious, carefully steeped loose-leaf teas, Metro can stand toe to toe with the best of them.

What makes the Metro's tea service even more exciting is something the Plaza cannot offer: pairing tea service with a screening of a Jane Austen adaptation on the big screen.

For the first two weekends of Sense and Sensibility, including our special pajama party sneak preview on October 14, Metro is pairing afternoon tea with the new, critically-acclaimed adaptation of Austen’s novel.
